P&Z approves plat for Cunningham Estates

With a unanimous vote, the Waxahachie Planning and Zoning Commission approved the plat for phase two of Cunningham Estates during its Sept. 13 meeting.

Located at the intersection of Old Maypearl Road and Cunningham Meadows Road, the plat comprises 153.126 acres, which includes 109 single-family residential lots, each more than 1 acre in size, and three common area lots.

The plat will be able to receive adequate public facilities through on-site septic systems and Buena Vista-Bethel SUD water lines, according to city staff.

Along with the plat proposal, the applicant also provided a traffic impact analysis that is still under review by city staff. Any requirements made once the review is completed will need to be met by the applicant.

The matter will now be presented at an upcoming city council meeting.
